Changing Your Diet to Help Cure Mesothelioma

Changing your diet can help in the Mesothelioma healing process.

In 1979 a special report was issued by the U.S. Surgeon General concluded that the normal American diet is dangerous to your health. The report recommended that most people should reduce the consumption of fat, especially saturated fats, such as from eggs, butter, or untrimmed red meats.

Dr. Williard J. Visek a research scientist at Cornell University found a link between excessive meat eating and cancer. His research found that carcinogenic ammonia was produced as a by-product of meat digestion.

At the University of Victoria in British Columbia, researchers did a careful follow up on test subjects who experienced a remission of cancer. They found that 87% of those patients had switched to a vegetarian diet.

Help to keep your body's immune system in top shape by eliminating foods that help feed the cancer. Foods such as meat, dairy products, white sugar, white flour, white rice, alcohol, tobacco, coffee, and soda. Instead add more healthy foods such as whole grains, fruits and vegetables. Cancer cells will not survive where there is a healthy, oxygenated environment and the immune system is functioning at peak levels.

Cancer cells exist in every body. But in some people, the body's immune system and overall health of the systems is so poor and unbalanced that the cancer cells grow out of control. Remember that mesothelioma is just one form of cancer and that any discussion about healing cancer also applies to mesothelioma.
